Amanda Keller: Mature Florals

We love a good floral. Although over the years we’ve found that floral prints can be a little polarising – some women love ’em and others seem to shy away. But to us, the right flower pattern can be a beautiful centrepiece to a refined mature outfit. Amanda’s warm oranges and browns are sweetly highlighted by subtle pinks and combined with the insteresting cut, this top totally makes her look tonight. We are loving some of the statement heels Amanda has been wearing lately also! Given that she is sitting for most of the episode, and you may want to walk, we’ve paired a lower heel in a similar style to match. This gorgeous heel is from Dianna Ferrari Supersoft so we know it will be thoughtfully made, which is enticing for a hard-to-wear point-toe style.

Further below we’ve matched some more floral looks that we hope tickle your fancy. We do feel there is a floral for everyone, even the most classic and preppy of girls! Enjoy xx

COLOUR BLOCK: If you find that some florals are a little washy then try out colour blocking to give it some oomph. And what better way to pack some punch in your outfit than with reds! This look is following an easy style rule here by picking up on that little bit of red in the patter and piling on more! It’s easy and always effective.

BOTANICS: Is it a flower? Is it a leaf? It’s both! We think botanical prints ooze luxury and immediately transport us to a South American villa sipping on a Margherita. The fancy floral is often found in washy greens and pinks and literally suits anyone who likes to look cool and relaxed.

MUTED: There is a big trend towards naturally-dyed clothing and florals are no exception. We love the wash of these breezy floral pants from Blue Bungalow, they have us pining for Spring. You can also slightly dress them up with a low wedge heel, crisp white tee and a pink blazer.

LOUD AND PROUD: If you’re a floral-lover then wear your heart (or flower) on your sleeve and opt for statement outerwear! We’ve selected two options below. One is from Trelise Cooper who is the undisputed queen of statement coats and very high end. The other, from Boohoo who is for those of us who are just trying out a trend. The only thing you need to keep in mind with these is that they do all the talking. Pair them with well-cut basics and you’re laughing and looking good.
