Street style: The Pink Ladies Pledge

We met Kay while attending a very special VIP shopping night at The Barefaced Bride. Kay’s daughter, Melanie is the brains behind the store which is all about ethical bridalwear – you can sell your designer gown with Mel or find your beloved and pre-loved frock. Mel’s passion for granting extended life to clothing doesn’t come from just anywhere. Her mum, Kay, is an op-shop devotee and tonight’s outfit is evidence of her ability to mix high-end with a fantastic vintage find. When we spied Kay wearing this incredible pink biker jacket we just had to ask her to be our next street style star.

Kay is wearing The Barefaced Bride jacket, W.Lane pants and Hush Puppies flats and says…

“I’m a tops and pants girl, I never wear dresses, this is how I am most comfortable. I also love a great second-hand buy- like my daughter Melanie, I am passionate about ethical fashion and I often get compliments on my vintage finds. And I love to mix pre-loved clothing with investment pieces like this beautiful jacket from Mel’s store – isn’t it pretty?”
