Once again, we adore Amanda’s outfit on The Living Room this evening! We were immediately drawn to that fuchsia top so we’re taking a bit of a different approach to tonight’s get-the-look. Below, we’ve included 5 street style looks, in the same tone, to inspire some power-pink styling this season. Fuchsia is a great colour to introduce to a winter wardrobe – it sits so well with jewel tones as they all have a deep richness to them. So if you’re after a pop of colour to scatter through an otherwise dark wardrobe, why not fall in love with fuchsia? Read on for some stylish pink-spiration…
TECHNICOLOUR DREAMCOAT: In case you didn’t know already – we love a power coat! It’s very easy to fall back onto blacks or neutrals for the cooler months and an easy way to liven them up is with statement outerwear? It’s a fab way to breathe life in your cheeks on those gloomy days and it takes the pressure of the rest of your look as it does ALL the talking.
VESTED INTEREST: A vest is the perfect layering tool for the Aussie climate where winters can still be sunny. And we love the way this look is styled with grey, it really tones down the punchy pink and is a great way to wear it, especially for those unsure about trying out this hot hue.
LESS IS MORE: Sometimes it’s the simplest of outfits that you feel the best in. A great pair of jeans and you’re favourite colour knit can be all you need. If there is a colour that you love (and you know really suits you) then consider trying out a roll-neck style as it’s like a stylish hug for your face 🙂
EXTRA EXTRA: Buy some hot boots for winter and you’re sorted for the season – every outfit is a statement. You could go all black, or denim and white but we absolutely love this pink paired with red like below. It’s an uncommon coupling that we’d like to see more of frankly – dare to pair!
Black and white always look good when you throw a vibrant colour into the mix – often we love yellow but this pink works it’s magic just as well. This look is also one of our favourite, understated-sexy outfit combinations. A slinky shirt + jeans + statement belt. If you’re ever unsure of a dress code, putting those three pieces together can cover so many bases.
