Yes, yes, yes! We LOVE this outfit on Amanda tonight. A striped suit isn’t easy to pull off, especially in such a bold colour, but we think Amanda has done it perfectly. The relaxed fit and draped black silk blouse just complete the look for us – she looks every part the TV star by wearing such a daring outfit. We suspect it will be a polarising look tonight but we are all for it because we love nothing more than when a suit steps out of the office. We’ve put together an edit for you tonight that is an ode to the non-corporate suit.
It Will Be All-White. Ok, it’s not the most practical option but boy does white have an impact. Optic white linen, a little ruffle detailed blouse and elegant, over-sized black sunnies instantly transport us to a European summer lunch. Who’s coming?
Softly Now. If you’re after some colour than pastel suits are really having their day. We love the texture in this pair, it’s a nod to the herringbone trend but with a flattering lilac tint over the typical stone hues.
See You There, Sharpish! Is there a more sophisticated look than this? The elements that make this suit stand out from any other are the slim lapel (worn flipped up by the model) the slightly raised waist and the cropped pant. The power of tailoring hey! While this could be an office look it’s equally as wearable for a special dinner – just add bling.
Just Add More Colour. Sandra Bullock is donning one of our favourite colour combos here: red and pink. People often find red hard to style so we always recommend either pink so soften the red or navy blue to deepen it. Any time we’ve paired those tones we’ve had compliments.
Chill Baby. This is the perfect example of how cool and casual a suit can be. Neutrals, linens, creamy accessories and loose summery hair make this a day look we absolutely adore.
Go Gutsy! Feeling bold? Try out an on-trend jacquard suit and triple your print with a statement blouse! Unsure of how to team prints? The best tip is to make it clear they’re different- choose one large print and the other very fine. If you’re not brave enough to wear the jacket and pants together then they’re still brilliant seperates – maybe with some more soft pink instead?
