It was a Friday in one of Sydney’s most charming locations, the sun was shining and the book worms were out to meet for their latest Literary Lunch at Middle Harbour Yacht Club. Thanks to the work of General Manager, Karen Baldwin and her team, these Literary Lunches take place semi-regularly and always have a fabulous guest author in attendance to chat about their last book.
This event was no exception and boy did the woman of honour today pull a crowd. Author, actor, Australian legend, Judy Nunn was there to discuss her latest novel, ‘Khaki Town’ that is sure to be another best-seller. The novel is based on a widely-unknown but true story of a woman named Val who bought a once-quiet pub in country Queensland during World War II. Seemingly overnight, the town was swamped by American servicemen in their khaki greens and the book follows the changes brought with the towns new inhabitants.
We want to say thank you to Karen for welcoming us to request photos of guests before the event kicked off. We didn’t want to miss living legend Judy Nunn and knew we’d pick up some great style tips along the way. Book lovers didn’t disappoint!
