Tonight we take a closer look at one of Amanda’s go-to labels, Moss & Spy. We thought it’s worth creating a more in-depth feature on this brand, not just because you can often find Amanda representing their designs but because of their range of stunning occasionwear. Anyone who has been the mother-of-the-bride or groom knows the challenges of finding an appropriate outfit. Traditional options are frumpy or then there is the other end of the spectrum- garish dresses that’d you’d likely see on Married at First Sight, gah! Enter, Moss & Spy. Founder and creative director Lia has conjured up intricate lace garments using extremely high-quality fabrics to create feminine designs in flattering cuts and lengths – and my word is it nice to see so many sleeved options! These looks aren’t your everyday wear- they’re fabulous and come at a cost that is justified for life’s important milestones. Moss & Spy have the frocks you fantasise about when you’ve traipsed through the shops for hours looking for something special for the big day. And that’s why we’re giving them this special call out. And not to mention they’re fully manufactured in Australia – a sadly very rare fact.
We’ve made a selection of some of our favourite options for Mother of the Bride or Groom below. It’s worth pointing out that we’ve seen Moss & Spy worn by a variety of differently-shaped women and these dresses really suit curves too. It’s a little hard to get the picture from the models but trust us, it’s true.
We’ve select mostly pretty tops and skirt/pants combinations over dresses. This means more bang for your buck! Team a top with palazzo pants for another occasion or a simple blouse with the skirt and great earrings for a special dinner. An extra bonus to choosing to wear
