Editors Select: Specsavers Spring/Summer Ranges + Paired Handbags

They say you’re either a bag-girl or a shoe-girl but I have two things to say about that.

1. Why choose?

2. What about sunglasses?

I am obsessed with sunglasses. To me, a day look without sunnies is unfinished and adding great frames is like giving your look the final word – case closed. The right accessories can make your entire wardrobe. Keeping it simple and chic in your clothing and bringing the wow-factor with fabulous sunglasses or a must-have bag is smart styling. You see, trends don’t move quite as fast in eyewear and if you do decide to invest in a long-sought-after designer bag then it should keep some value, if well cared for.

Don’t just take my word for it…

“Sunglasses might be a small accessory, but they have a MASSIVE impact. This yearโ€™s exclusive collection features something for everyone. You can be a fashionista, quirky, classic or laid back, whatever your style Specsavers has the latest frames, colours, and style to cover every shade of you this summer.”

-Specsavers ambassador and glasses designer, Alex Perry

Mr Perry is of course, correct. Especially now that I require a prescription, Specsavers has been my go-to for a few years. I’ve often found myself leaning towards the in-house Specsavers brands plus designers Carla Zampatti and Alex Perry are always favourites. Best of all, you get those big names for a very reasonable price – something near impossible in their clothing ranges. I’ve selected my favourite sunglasses here (available in standard lens or prescription) and based them around events. Plus, I have added in some arm-candy for the bag lovers by teaming each of the frames with complimenting handbags. These perfect pairs will harmonise your outfit and catapult your look from simple to chic ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Winery tour – these frames and crossbody bag will look fantastic with your favourite natural fibre sundress and ankle boots as you take a leisurely stroll around the grapevines. Both have a highly-directional shape to them but aren’t competing for attention and these moody browns are always a winner for daywear.

Girly Lunch – depending on your venue of choice, your special friends catch up may take place in a beer garden where jeans plus a white linen shirt will team perfectly with these sweet accessories. Your gals like to roll a little more upscale, you say? A flattering printed wrap dress (I’m thinking Gorman) and metallic heels will suit the ladies who lunch crowd.

Races – Personally I feel your sunglasses choice is just as important as the frock when it comes to trackside fashion. Mirrored frames inject an element of mystique and an on-trend hard marble-print handbag means you can wear any little black dress but these extras bring it to life. If you’re in the market for headwear, this handbag brand below, Olga Berg, also do fascinators and headbands. I have fallen in love with everything I have ever seen from this label – divine!
