Julia Morris: 4 Best Dresses from I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!

We’ve been keeping a close eye on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here this season but unlike most viewers, it’s not for the tummy-churning stunts. We’re tuning in to see what host, Julia Morris will be wearing in the jungle each night. It’s been so refreshing to see how certain styles work on someone who isn’t stick thin. Although let’s be clear, Julia’s figure is banging! She is evidence that at 50 years of age you can try any trend you like as long as you feel it suits your personal style. Some of these frocks are a great inspiration for mother-of-the-bride looks too, you don’t have to go for the twinset if you don’t wish. It’s been lovely to see such a talented, funny, looker rock an on-trend dress each evening and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the season brings. We’re only halfway through so we will do a wrap-up post as well.

Episode 2 – Ms Morris does love to show some shoulder and we think this dress suits her long frame beautifully. It’s great to see how so many dresses now fall just below the knee but remember, if you’re going for this length in a pencil dress, be sure that the hem tapers in a little. It will give you your best shape.

Julia wears: The Pretty Dress Company 69 British Pounds.  Elle Zeitoune black and white dress @ David Jones $199 // Jayson Brunsdon black with red print @ Myer $130

Episode 5 – this kaftan! We recognised it straight away, Bonita Kaftans. They’ve become massive this past year and now that beautiful Julia has worn one on tele, we’re sure it will take off further. However, there is no denying that they’re prrricey. So if you love this look for formal occasions but don’t have $700+ to spare (ahem) the key is to look for blingy details, wear heels, layer up the jewellery and don’t hold back on your makeup. It will take you as far away from the beach-side kaftan vibe as possible.

Julia Morris dressJulia wears: Bonita Kaftans ‘Havana Palm Springs’ $765.  Sara pink kaftan @ Ezibuy $79.99 // PS Frock green and blue kaftan $80 //

Episode 6 – the elegance of black lace paired with a flirty kick hem had us singing the praises of this episode’s outfit. A stunning dress for your next formal occasion, you can team it with a black or cream faux fur stole for the cooler months and really ramp up the sophistication. We love that these frocks give the arm coverage many women desire but don’t leave you feeling stuffy.

Episode 13 – While this dress is simple it’s a standout for us. What looks like a cape is actually attached to the dress, making it much more manageable than two pieces that require readjusting.  And we love the way it softly ripples as it falls, it gives it a bit of fanciness. The rich navy tone looks amazing with a strong lip, be it red, pink or orange undertones this jewel-like navy is the perfect pair for all.

  1. Julia I think you look great every episode ! I don’t envy you walking in those high heels though, they look nice but lethal in the Bush. Please keep up your great entertainment with handsome Chris.

    • That was a Zara dress, Kelly! I can’t find it online right now. It may not be current but maybe worth checking your local. She looked lovely once again 🙂 Cheers, Bec
