Dressed for Success

Today we had the pleasure of attending an inspiring (and delicious) breakfast put on by the greatest supporter of women, Triumph. The theme: women supporting women. As the OJ flowed we discussed navigating the balance of motherhood with work, the feeling of being an impostor and the importance of peer support. Also in attendance this morning was staff from an entity which embodies these points, Dress for Success. Our street style star, Meryl works at this not-for-profit which assists women in times of need to not only best present themselves for the workforce but also prepare themselves. The charity “improves the employability of women in need by providing, free of charge, professional clothing, a network of support and the career development tools to help women achieve self-sufficiency.” We spied Meryl and thought she looked very sharp and classic and had to ask her to be our next street style star. What’s more, we loved that Meryl is representing the good cause and is wearing pre-loved items all bought from one of the famous Dress for Success sales. We’d like to thank Meryl for the important work she does and for saying yes to a piccy for us this morning. It was lovely to meet you, Meryl!

“I like to dress classically most of the time but I do have a few old 1960’s little dresses that I occasionally wear and I feel a million bucks in them! ”
